Minimum Wages:
Introduction:

Minimum wages are an area of conflict, conflict between the employer and the employee.

Part of the conflict is that minimum wages that are established, are normally driven by a negotiation process by the elite and the labour representatives.

These minimum wages are then extended into areas where ‘unfair opposition’ is deemed to be a threat.
This concept creates a number of unemployed.

What most of us miss, and the trade unions are amiss in this area, is that these elite often use the limit of the ability at the lower end of the sector, to set this ‘minimum wage’ level.

Sectors of the farming community are in conflict as the result of this principle, but an example that we all overlook when discussing these issues is the ‘domestic workers’ minimum wage.

Do we see any difference for the minimum wage between my area, Westdene, and Morningside?
NO:

Do we have any provision for retired Cedric, struggling to survive, and the C.E.O.’s of Industry and Government?
NO:

The minimum wage of R 1600 per month, for an employer family earning R 6 000 per month, what do the Sandton employers pay?

On talk radio you will hear calls proudly saying, “I pay R 2 400”.

This forum will provide for this as we move forward, it will lead to Economic Freedom for our people.
